About Us
Caroline Pepermans has acted for large local and international corporations in matters relating to compliance with environmental and mining law, the management of waste and water and the application for and obtaining of authorisations and mineral rights as required in terms of environmental and mining law. She provides advice on various environmental and mining legal issues and is also well placed to assist with any administrative legal aspects in respect of environmental and mining law. Caroline also has extensive experience in environmental and mining legal compliance audits.
In rendering her legal advice and services, Caroline is committed to not only considering the regulatory realm of environmental and mining law as stipulated in legislation but also to considering the practical implications of such legislation and to strategise together with clients the most beneficial and practicable manner in achieving legal compliance.
Caroline has a BSc in Entomology and an LLB from the University of Pretoria and obtained an LLM in International Environmental Law from the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom after having been awarded a Chevening Scholarship to obtain same. During her studies at the University of Nottingham, Caroline gained knowledge in both International environmental conventions as well as European Union Environmental Directives.
Caroline was admitted as an attorney in May 2005.
After having worked in both top tier law practices as well as boutique law practices specialising in environmental and mining law, Caroline founded Pepermans Legal Consulting.
